Senior Director - Global Master Planning and Due Dilligence (m/f/d)
The Senior Director, Global Master Planning & Due Diligence is responsible for leading a team of technical experts in conducting due diligence on potential land acquisitions, developing, and implementing utility infrastructure planning and design strategies, and managing a team of utility program managers. As a Senior Director, you will play a critical role in the success of our data center business, driving Strategic direction and innovation in technology due diligence, shaping the company's approach to tech-enabled utility infrastructure development.
This is a hybrid role that can be located in Germany or the United Kingdom with 50 % international travel.
What you will do
- Lead a global team of technical experts in due diligence, site feasibility assessments, site master planning and utility program managers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including land acquisition, legal, product, design, and construction, for seamless project planning and execution
- Develop and implement strategies for utility infrastructure planning and design, including engineering and design solutions, estimates, and risk analysis
- Manage a team of utility program managers, providing guidance and oversight on project development
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies
- Drive strategic direction and innovation in technology due diligence, shaping the company's approach to tech-enabled utility infrastructure deployment
- Identify and assess emerging technologies and innovations to improve infrastructure planning and design
- Develop and implement technology due diligence frameworks, standards, and best practices
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration
What we are looking for
- Strong understanding of Data Center infrastructure requirements and industry standards
- Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail with superior organizational skills; excellent time management skills with proven ability to deliver on tight timelines
- Superior analytical rigor and creativity required to present financials and technical due diligence, including alternatives that are data based, to drive tangible value to the business
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to coordinate activity with multiple business stakeholders
- Strong English language skills; additional languages a plus
- Familiarity with local regulations and industry standards in North America, Europe, Africa, India, Asia, and Japan
- Strong leadership skills to guide and manage cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and achieving common goals
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex strategic information to different audiences
- Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate potential targets, assess synergies, and make informed decisions
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field
