Interview advice

Job interviews are crucial for several reasons such as understanding the company culture and the candidate's personality, assessing qualifications, and especially to clarify expectations. The interview process can be challenging, but a crucial element of success is the preparation. We use competency based questions to assess your qualifications, personality, and problem-solving skills. These questions can cover topics such as your background, strengths, weaknesses, goals, and experiences.

By preparing and formulating thoughtful answers, you can effectively demonstrate your qualifications, emphasize your unique strengths, and make a memorable impression on the interviewers.

Your interview

Excelling in interviews is a skill that gets better with preparation and practice. By getting familiar with common questions and developing thoughtful, well-structured answers, you can confidently present your qualifications and authentic self. Keep in mind, the goal is not to memorize perfect responses, but to engage in meaningful conversations that highlight your alignment with the role and the company’s values.

Tips to excel in job interviews

  • Share your experiences with us

By choosing a challenge from your past that is related to the role that you applied for, you give the interviewers insights into your experiences and your work ethic. Use the STAR method to describe the challenge in a meaningful order and how you solved it. The STAR method stands for: Situation, Task, Action and Results. When telling your story, focus on your response of the Action and Result.

  • Highlight your skills

During the interview, provide details of your educational background, e.g. degrees or qualifications. Point out any relevant certifications or courses you have completed that are relevant to the job you have applied for. By demonstrating your knowledge, you show how your expertise will benefit the company and add value.

  • Let's build a connection

The interview is not only a good opportunity to demonstrate your skills and experience, but also a good opportunity for you to assess whether the company culture and the job fit with your career plans. By asking relevant and insightful questions during the interview, you can show your enthusiasm and genuine interest in the company. It also allows you to build a connection with the interviewer and leave a lasting impression that can have a positive impact on the hiring decision.
