Director - Supply Chain, EMEA (m/f/d)
Are you an experienced professional in supply chain management with expertise in data center construction? With significant plans for growth and global transformation we are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Director of Supply Chain (m/f/d) at NTT GDC EMEA. As the Director of Supply Chain (m/f/d), you will play a crucial role in the strategic direction and execution of our data center construction supply chain, supporting our business objectives and ensuring efficient and effective logistical activities.
This is a full time hybrid permanent position.
What you will do
- Own all Supply Chain functions including demand planning, sourcing, procurement, vendor selection, logistics, forecasting, negotiating, and inventory management
- Anticipate and address potential supply chain issues in advance, internally and externally, to make informed business decisions
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure actual performance against these metrics
- Manage the supplier base and evaluate supplier performance using various KPIs
- Develop strategies and tools to mitigate supply chain impacts and optimize efficiencies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to coordinate supply chain activities
- Address and resolve issues with suppliers, such as change orders, late deliveries, disputes, and invoice accuracy
- Analyze industry trends and technology advancements to identify potential risks and leverage industry best practices
- Renegotiate supplier agreements and manage the equipment ordering process
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a relevant field (Master's Degree preferred)
- Extensive Demonstrated experience procurement and supply chain management experience, preferably in a management role
- Strong expertise in data center construction and experience working with electrical and/or mechanical integrators
- Proven track record of achieving cost and/or time to market reductions through continuous improvement and innovation
- Knowledge of best practices in procurement processes, vendor selection, logistics, and sourcing
- Excellent communication and analytical skills for product demand forecasting and inventory management
- Six Sigma training is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and manage conflicts effectively
