Security Officer

As our Security Officer, you will be reporting to the Security Manager and be responsible for managing the 24/7 security of the Data Center facilities, ensuring operational performance is always maintained and to the highest possible standards.Specifically, you will support the Security Manager in the smooth running of the Security Department.

You will be required to work on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, days and nights including weekends. Each shift is 12 hours long. The Day shift is from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm and the night shift is from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

 

What you will do

 

  • Managing access control procedures to ensure only authorised personnel are permitted into the building or other specific areas
  • Issuing passes and collecting relevant ID
  • Monitoring of CCTV
  • Assisting in fire drills and alarms
  • Ensuring Health and Safety rules are always adhered to
  • Reception duties
  • Assisting the Security Manager/Deputy Manager where applicable
  • Any other activities reasonably required for the day-to-day operation of the Company
     

What we are looking for

 

  • Communicate effectively at all levels and possess good relationship building skills
  • Assisted management with day to day running of the Security Department
  • Responsibility for checking and setting alarm systems
  • Responsibility for checking fire systems and fire equipment
  • Handled complaints in a diplomatic manner
  • Assisted with internal auditing
  • Previous experience with training and mentoring of new Security Officers
  • Hold a valid SIA Licence
  • Full driving licence valid for use in the UK
  • Undergo full security checks to BS7858:2019
