Head of Strategy Research

As our Head of Strategy Research you will provide Research and Market/Competitor Analysis to contribute towards our strategic business expansion. You will research and monitor global data center markets, and report on the positioning and performance of our platform, relative to competitors.


Your responsibilities 

  • Create quarterly market and competitor reports across each of the global regions in which our company operates, in order to aid the Corporate Strategy function in the development of its future strategy
  • Work closely with regional contacts within NTT Global Data Centers and NTT Limited to facilitate knowledge and information sharing and development of strategy “house view” 
  • Produce and maintain the company “strategy room”, which will include (but not be limited to) market analysis, new market opportunities, positioning in incumbent markets, deep dive analysis of key competitors, proactive ongoing analysis of industry opportunities and threats
  • Produce detailed Go To Market papers to promote specific actions (with detailed analysis) for entry into new markets and for expansion within existing markets
  • Contribute towards the analysis supporting corporate M&A, working closely with the Corporate development team
  • Use market intelligence and a range of industry contacts (e.g. sell-side analysts, external consultants and data center-focused brokers) to interact with and inform corporate development, marketing and sales teams, 
  • Adopt a consultative approach to ensure that all key stakeholders across the business are fully informed, with up to date market intelligence at all times
  • Attend and participate in industry conferences and events to externally position NTT Global Data Centers as an industry leader in the sector


Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or real estate, or equivalent professional experience
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Research- or in an Analyst-environment, with focus on infrastructure and Real Assets
  • Excellent understanding of the business complexity of IT, Data Center and Real Estate 
  • Proven track record of managing internal project teams and in producing detailed research and strategy papers
  • Experience in project work
  • IT skills: MS PPT, excel, Word, Bloomberg - analysis of complex datasets 
  • English business fluent, an additional European language is desirable
  • Welcoming travel and short- and mid-term stays abroad
  • Strategic thinking individual, with structured and consultative approach
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, management, and collaboration
  • Outstanding relationship-builder and strong communicator on all levels, both internally and externally
  • Ability to work in multinational and interdisciplinary teams
