Server Administrator
As our new Service Administrator, you will ensure the smooth and effective IT operation of clients, servers and storage infrastructure in the headquarters and datacenters of NTT Global Data Centers EMEA.
Your responsibilities
- Operate and maintain
- ADS and CA infrastructure
- Server- (Windows and Linux) and client infrastructure
- virtual clients and servers (Hyper-V and VmWare)
- File, print, SCCM and SQL server environment
- SAN and storage equipment
- Data backup and archiving
- System management and monitoring tools
- Citrix farm and published applications
- MDM/EMM infrastructure
- Collaboration platforms
- Cloudapps Office 365 and Azure
- Create scripts to automate standard processes (Powershell)
- Contact to system manufacturers and outsourcing partners
- Working on incidents, problems, and service requests within ITSM tool (2nd level support)
- Planning and implementation of changes and maintaining the configuration management database
- Projects
- Documentation and training
- Special tasks
- Participation in on-call duty
Your profile
- Completed vocation training in the field of computer science
- Demonstrable professional experience, especially in
- System and network management of Microsoft platforms (Server 2016, 2019 and Windows 10)
- administration of virtual servers and MS clusters
- administration of Office 365 and Azure cloud services
- In depth knowledge of following technologies
- Linux OS i.e. Ubuntu, CentOS
- ADS
- DNS
- MS SQL
- SCCM
- Citrix SBC
- VDI
- SAN and storage systems
- Customer and service focus
- Initiative and independence
- Sense of responsibility and the ability to assess risks
- Systematic and analytical work
- Willingness for constant further training
- Goal and solution focus
- Resilience, in particular the ability to work in a concentrated manner even under deadline pressure
- Flexibility, especially the willingness to travel and work outside the normal working hours
- Entrepreneurial thinking
- Ability to work in team
- Good written and spoken English language skills
- Full clean driving licence valid for use in the UK
- Undergo full security checks to BS7858:2019
