Senior Supply Chain Manager Construction (General Contracts) (m/f/d)
The Senior Supply Chain Manager Construction/ General Contracts assumes full procurement responsibility for significant new build and in life projects in line with the company’s processes and procedures.
Your responsibilities
- Assume full ownership across EMEA of all major general contracts including sourcing, tendering, contracting, managing costs & timely delivery up to closing out the contract
- Actively manage respective (internal and external) procurement resources and issues across projects
- Provide full procurement support at pre-contract stage
- Contribute to the definition of the sourcing/ procurement strategy (e.g. GC vs. subcontracts, OFCI vs. CFCI etc.) in alignment with key stakeholders
- Work closely with and across the supply chain to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement
- Ensure all necessary general contract/ subcontract notices are prepared accurately and issued on time, authorise subcontract instructions and that robust subcontract change control procedures are in place.
- Liaise across the project team to promote a clear understanding of the contractual relationships between the various parties and stakeholders, and to mitigate risks
- Establish and maintain accurate and robust budgets, reports and forecasts
- Monitor resources and costs to ensure that the projects meet or exceed agreed budget targets
- Identify contractual and supply chain risks and ensure that they are mitigated accordingly
- Ensure compliance with company rules, procedures, approvals and other regulations
- Manage the commercial close out of projects from procurement point of view including settlement of all suppliers including variations, claims and any disputes and ensure appropriate records and information are kept and archived
Your profile
- Proven experience working in a similar role in the data center industry or critical environment is essential.
- Solid expertise on procurement processes, negotiations skills, very sound contractual expertise (FIDIC, JCT, VOB etc.)
- Customer focused and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
- Excellent organisation with strong time management skills.
- Ability to maintain own continual professional development.
- Proficient in the use of IT tools such as Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, ERP systems (SAP), procurement tools (Coupa) etc.
- Flexibility to travel to other locations as required at short notice

- Profound contracting and procurement contract management expertise and experience
- Excellent project management and negotiation skills.
