Data Center Services Technician
The role of the Data Center Services Technician is providing the NTT GDC Remote hands product to our Clients. Including, but not be limited to; Installation and Troubleshooting of Hardware, Connectivity; Provisioning and Decommissioning of Assets; Handling Deliveries and Collections; complying with NTT GDC Health and Safety policies; and General Housekeeping. This role will require travel to data center within region and will include support for other initiatives as and when required.
Your responsibilities
- Provide remote hands as request by Clients
- Respond to Client requests via case management system
- Prioritising/Reviewing workload ensuring SLA’s/OLA’s are achieved
- Installing hardware and rack furniture
- Fibre/Copper Patching and Cabling
- Escort clients and 3rd party contractors
- Delivery/Collection handling
- Updating and maintaining data on CMDB systems
Your profile
- Participate in a 6-person, 6-weekly rota (24/7/356)
- Able to work as part of a team and as an individual and on own initiative
- Must be able to work at height, on platform ladders and underfloor
- Flexible attitude towards covering team absences.
- Attention to detail
- Data Center or similar experience, familiarity with Data Centre Hardware
- Proficient use of Office365
- Ability to adapt and influence in a rapidly changing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop and build relationships
- Full driving license valid for use in the UK
- Achieve full security checks to BS7858:2019
- Achieve SC & NPPV3 (must have 5 years residency in the UK to apply)
