Technical Pre-Sales Consultant (m/f/d)

As a Pre-Sales Technical Consultant (m/f/d) you will be joining our Pre-Sales team which is part of Sales and Commercial Management function. You will be supporting the business objective of "profitable order intake" by efficiently managing the technical consulting and operational feasibility for the completion and implementation of complex client solutions. A Technical Pre-Sales Consultant should ideally be recognized as a trusted advisor and a thought leader by clients and within the business. The role has particular emphasis in the mechanical and electrical design and operational support of our facilities (Data Centers).

Your responsibilities

• Consult with both prospective and existing clients, providing technical expertise for the individual planning of their own infrastructure in our data centers in a clear and professional manner
• Review and provide feedback on the technical assessment and qualification of client requirements as well as the identification of deviations from the standard design and verification of the feasibility of the proposed solution
• Support Bid Management in developing and finalizing technically accurate, commercially attractive, and tailor-made installation and service solutions
• Close co-operation with internal departments
• Providing input on contractual requirements and a qualified and timely handover to the client delivery team
• Input and qualified feedback for continuous improvement of the NTT service portfolio
• Support sales team with site tours, customer meetings and presentations and industry events 
• To primarily support the German sales activities but provide additional support as necessary for other EMEA opportunities

Your profile

• Must have experience working within a data center environment, whether operationally or from a design perspective
• Must have a familiarity of the mechanical and electrical design and operational concepts that support these environments and a willingness to develop the understanding with professional certifications
• Should understand the networking solutions supporting a modern data center deployment (cloud on-ramps, internet services and structured cabling solutions etc)
• Ideally, the candidate should have successfully completed technical/higher studies
• Experience in technical project management and AutoCAD
• Very good knowledge of both written and spoken English
