Senior Energy Procurement Manager (m/f/d)

In this new role as Senior Energy Procurement Manager you will be responsible for the non-DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) of our power business. You are experienced in the grid market, particularly in the United Kingdom (UK) and preferably gained professional experiences in developing power sourcing strategies in other European markets as well. The successful candidate will be creating and implementing a new concept to connect our Data Centers to the power grid network and will be also leveraging margin opportunities for the company and its clients. Within our Procurement Department you will be joining a team of experienced colleagues for Power Management and you will be reporting to the Director Strategic Procurement.


Your responsibilities

  • Project management and monitoring for new Data Center optimized grid connections in the EMEA region (focus non-DACH regions)
  • Negotiation and maintenance of grid related contracts (connection agreements etc.) with grid operators as well as negotiation and maintenance of power supply related contracts (portfolio management etc.) with suppliers and service providers
  • Calculate the forecasts and conduct the analysis of power price development for procurement in Futures and Spot market
  • Draft and review the power regulations for service agreements for data center customers
  • Develop pricing model for client offers as well as offer calculation and KPI reports
  • Internal and external collaboration and proactive stakeholder management, e.g. for studies, design or performance reviews
  • Project involvment in Sustainability Projects of the company, within the division Global Data Centers or with NTT Ltd. as parental company
  • Cost savings through regulatory optimizations such as individual grid charges, demand side response, battery storage etc
  • Coordination and processing of regulatory management of power related levies and taxes as well as monitoring and managing levies and taxes
  • Opportunity to develop leading a team 


Your profile

  • University degree or comparable education
  • Extensive professional experience in the field of power management in Energy Procurement, Energy Suppliers or comparable
  • Very good knowledge of operating procedures and international project management
  • Good understanding when considering overall economic contexts
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Business fluency in English and ideally also in German; other languages would be an advantage
  • IT-Skills in particular MS Office
  • Independent, responsible and result-oriented 
  • Convincing appearance and service mentality
  • Commitment, openness, flexibility
  • For working location in UK: To undergo full security checks to BS7858:2019
