Project Site Supervisor (m/f/d)

The Project Site Supervisor is aiding and closely collaborating with the respective Project Manager (PM) in all aspects of delivery; starting at the very beginning from providing support during the tender process, all the way through to supervising onsite delivery and monitoring quality and safety to handover. 

 

Your responsibilities

  • Support the PM in creating tender documents and reviewing responses; be the ‘eyes and ears’ onsite to take photos, measurements and anything else required to remotely specify the works.
  • Work alongside the PM to facilitate site visits from perspective contractors, ensuring that the site teams are properly informed and any processes related to access and safety are followed.
  • Assist in the creation, collection and onsite validation of documents for the PM to present at the CAB.
  • Alongside the PM, ensure that all works are properly arranged and that the onsite teams know what is happening and when.
  • Keep a ‘watching brief’ on Client communications and support the wider team in ensuring that Clients know about works in accordance with any notification periods.
  • Greet contractors onsite and facilitate their movements from security through to CFM, and ensure that all access processes, inductions and permits are issued in accordance with the site rules.
  • Support the CFM team by being a ‘second person’ during two-person-verification activities and isolations.
  • Work closely alongside the CFM team and the Operational H/S manager to undertake Point of Work Risk Assessments and promote safe working in accordance with the site’s SSoW.
  • Undertake spot checks, or continual supervision where deemed necessary by the CAB, on project works.
  • Liaise with the PM to raise any quality issues and help resolve onsite.
  • Be an onsite point of contact for customers who require face-to-face periodic updates throughout works (typically hyperscalers).
  • Ensure that project locations are left tidy and safe at the end of each day.
  • Support the CFM team in closing any permits at the end of each day and provide continuity and awareness of projects between CFM teams during shift-changeovers.
  • Assist the PM and CFM teams in ensuring that documentation is properly filed.
  • Undertake snagging activities and continually liaise with the PM and onsite teams, both in person and via photo/video, to ensure defect-free handovers.
  • Forge solid relationships with the onsite teams and provide an interface into Client Delivery Services or Central Engineering

 

Your profile

  • Experience in effective management of contractors
  • Professional experience in a smiliar role
  • Working knowledge and understanding of engineering operations within Business-Critical Environments
  • Good stakeholder management
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
  • Posess initiative with an inquisitive nature, unafraid to ask appropriate questions
  • Be self-motivated and keen to develop, with a willingness and esire to learn
  • Possess accomplished and reliable risk management skills
  • Reliable, flexible, enthusiastic and hard working
