Project Manager Client Fit-Out (m/f/d)

As our Project Manager you will be supporting the Data Center Delivery organization division in planning, managing, delivering and commissioning client facing projects within the whitespace of NTT’s Data Center portfolio. The organization is responsible for executing cage and suite fit out projects in the whitespace as well as managing any future expansions or services for those customers.  

 

Your responsibilities

  • Implementation of project organization and planning including Vendor assessment and selection
  • Cross-departmental communication and cooperation with internal stakeholders including commercial management, finance/controlling, local operations, Health & Safety teams and other delivery teams contributing to the project
  • Preparation of cost estimates and delivery dates against scope of work in order to actively support bid management 
  • Review and approval of necessary RAMS in order to complete the Method of procedure documents (MOP’s) ensuring the work follows the approved procedures.
  • Where required, management of project site supervisors (internal or vendor) to support execution on the ground 
  • Controlling external service providers with regard to quality of execution, Health and Safety performance and compliance with the agreed contractual obligations, as well as their documentation
  • Ensuring immediate problem solving in the course to guarantee the contractually agreed handover to the customer
  • Perform effective risk management (both identification of and mitigation strategies) to minimize project risks 
  • Create and manage project budget ensuring cost control and mitigate overspend
     

Your profile 

  • Preferably has successfully completed technician degree or completed studies in the field of industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Industry experience in critical infrastructure, such as data center industry, oil and gas industry, pharmaceutical industry, engineering in power plant construction, plant engineering or mechanical engineering advantageous 
  • Experience in project management, preferably in an international environment
  • Has an understanding or experience in managing Health & Safety across Data Centers or similar construction industries 
  • Solid technical background with respect to ICT, Telecoms, Racks & electrical works, with understanding or hands-on experience in Data Centre White Space Fit Outs
  • Has a reasonable knowledge of Data Centre M&E infrastructure 
  • PRINCE II/PMP certification or similar preferable 
  • Business fluent in English 
  • Willing to travel domestically or internationally where required 
  • Undergo full security checks to BS7858:2019
