Program Lead - Hyperscale Delivery (m/f/d)

As a Program lead for Hyperscale, you will be supporting the Client Implementation Services division in planning, managing, delivering and commissioning large scale client facing projects within NTT’s Data Center portfolio across EMEA.  These will typically be larger whitespace fit outs within both new build and existing facilities.  You will be responsible for the portfolio of projects across EMEA requiring collaboration and coordination across various functional areas to deliver seamless execution to enhance customer and user experience.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Implementation of project organization and planning, as well as ensuring that the portfolio of projects run on schedule (end-to-end) 
  • Cross-departmental, close cooperation with the internal project participants and the responsible persons of the relevant data center, as well as provision of the relevant documentation
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
  • Development of detailed project plans and schedules to support the portfolio 
  • Controlling external service providers with regard to quality and compliance with the agreed contractual obligations, as well as their documentation
  • Creation of reporting for regular project control with regard to deviations (including costs, scheduling and quality requirements) 
  • Ensuring immediate problem solving in the course to guarantee the contractually agreed handover to the customer 
  • Ensure all work carried out is in line with company Health & Safety policies with no exceptions 
  • Provide regular status updates and project reviews to Technical Operations and other stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks 
  • Ensure smooth handover of delivery ensuring any on-going snagging activities are managed through to resolution
  • Preparation of cost estimates in order to actively support bid management 
  • Vendor management – building effective and strategic relationships to ensure quality, cost and timelines are consistent across EMEA
  • Stakeholder management – formulates stakeholder communication plans for the hyperscale programs providing a communication interface between commercial, construction and operational teams 
  • Serves as an escalation point to resolve stakeholder issues within the wider project team
  • And any other duties relevant to the position and running of the company.

 

Your profile

  • Skilled and experienced in leading complex projects and teams at a program level
  • Experience in working with hyperscale clients or large scale enterprises in respect to Data Center fit outs
  • Has an understanding or experience in managing Health & Safety across Data Centers or similar construction industries 
  • Experienced and competence in managing the requirements of multiple cross functional stakeholders
  • Business fluent in English as well as German 
  • Solid technical background with respect to ICT, Telecoms, Racks & electrical works, with understanding or hands-on experience in Data Centre White Space Fit Outs
  • Has a good knowledge of Data Centre M&E infrastructure 
  • Preferably has successfully completed technician degree or completed studies in the field of industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
  • PRINCE II/PMP certification or similar preferable 
  • Willing to travel domestically or internationally where required
  • Security vetting as required
  • Leadership skills that fosters an environment to motivate sub teams and drive change 
  • Highly motivated with an appetite for success
  • Highly disciplined and organized with the ability to analyze and prioritize 
  • Can adapt and react to dynamic changing environment 
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio & Project)
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills 
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Proven ability to work under pressure
  • Has a can-do attitude with the ability to improve ways of working 
  • Works well in a team environment 
  • Ability to work in multinational, interdisciplinary and culturally diverse teams
