Passive Connectivity Infrastructure Technician (m/f/d)
As the Passive Connectivity Infrastructure (PCI) Technician (m/f/d), reporting to the Manager PCI, you will be responsible for acting as a delivery engine for DC&CC in Germany as well as coordination, planning and undertaking client works for Frankfurt region. As part of this growing team there will be a key focus to reduce outsource spend and lead-times through bringing client work inhouse through identification and training of PCI team.
This position will be based in Frankfurt 1 but there will be travel to our Frankfurt sites, and there could be occasional visits to other sites within Europe.
What you will do
- Local co-ordination and focus of DC&CC services
- Capture and coordinate client connectivity requirement for Germany
- Coordination and completion internal and client works on-time, budget and quality
- Work with DCS central team to lead and train local team to update passive assets into FNT, refreshed annually (S/F & FNT)
- Identify time and cost efficiency through insourcing
- Supervise external & internal passive works, in line with change process
- Identify and coordinating training requirement to increase internal and client works
- Plan and carry out internal works insource
- Reducing lead-times and cost for client works and drive service improvement
- Managing local stock items to undertake client works
What we are looking for
- Experience in the data center or telecommunications environment
- Motivated and client success driven
- Planning and install of passive infrastructure
- FNT or similar asset management tools
- Fibre splicing (Training can be provided)
- Project Management (Training can be provided)
- Ability to test both copper and fibre cabling
- Fluent written and verbal in German and English
- Willingness to learn and grow skillset
- Proactive attitude to change
