Legal Counsel (Procurement and Real Estate) (m/f/d)
As Legal Counsel (Procurement and Real Estate) you will be part of our NTT Global Data Center EMEA Legal & Governance team. You will be supporting our Real Estate Management team with real estate related aspects (in particular Leases for English sites).
Your responsibilities
- Supporting the Procurement department with the drafting, review, negotiation and execution of supply contracts such as NDAs, consultancy appointments, standard terms & conditions, security services contracts, maintenance services contracts, major equipment contracts, software platform procurement contracts, lease agreements, construction contracts, novation agreements, etc in particular for our non-German speaking sites (i.e. England, Spain, Netherlands and South Africa)
- Drafting, improving, and adapting template agreements to up-to-date legal requirements as well as preparing approval request forms and legal memos for the Procurement department
- Supporting negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors
- Summarizing legal facts as a basis for taking commercial and legal decisions
- Management of external counsel
- Conducting internal legal training
Your profile
- Qualified lawyer (ideally English qualified solicitor or similar EU-equivalent)
- Demonstratable post-qualification experience (in-house or in a law firm) of real estate/infrastructure/construction and/or IT/Telco/technology
- Ability to assist in English related aspects (with support of external legal counsel if required)
- Solid commercial contracts experience
- Knowledge of commercial real property law or construction law would be an advantage
- Experience in advising on, negotiating, and executing non-standard supplier contracts
- High interest in Data Center sector and willing to acquire the relevant knowledge to serve as a true Legal Business Partner
- Ability to work in fast change/fast track business environment and handling of complexity
- English business fluent; Ideally additional language: German, Spanish, Dutch or other
- Enjoy presenting legal facts and cases to non-legal colleagues as well as working on solutions of practical use
- Willingness to travel within EMEA
