Quality Engineer (m/f/d)

The Quality Engineer (m/f/d) will join the new EMEA Technical Operations (Tech-Ops) team which is responsible for supporting the operational requirement of the EMEA region. Specifically, this role will be a member of the Central Engineering team within Tech-Ops and will report to the Head of Standards – Technical and Engineering Tech-Ops EMEA and will be based in Frankfurt am Main.


Your responsibilities

  • Leading regular tours and ad-hoc inspections of our Data Centers to inspect local conformance to technical & engineering standards, and best practice
  • Attend any internal or external quality related audits and be able to demonstrate and provide evidence that operational standards are being adhered to
  • Support with the compilation or revision of EMEA standards including technical script writing and workflows
  • Maintain a central repository for observations and monitoring progress improvements through collaboration with the regional operational teams
  • Implement key performance indicator (KPI) for technical & engineering audits
  • Provide regular reporting and collaboration with our operational teams, e.g. to address any KPI related issues and concerns, providing support and guidance as required.
  • Collaboration work to ensure that new Data Centers meet our operational standards 
  • On an ad-hoc basis, play a role during Root Cause Analysis, attending site for incident or problem audits and support Customer Management in client audit standards 


Your profile

  • Several years' of experience working in a critical electrical and mechanical environment within a large company, IT/Telecoms industry preferred
  • Experience in working with standards such as ISO 9001 and processes
  • Experience in data centres or a similar environment, e.g. powerplants, industrial plants is considered a significant advantage though not essential. 
  • Subject matter experts understanding of operational and maintenance governance principles 
  • A maintenance excellence and zero-downtime mentality
  • Demonstrable skills in technical management, audit and collaboration
  • Outstanding relationship-builder and communicator
  • Experienced working in multinational, interdisciplinary and culturally diverse teams
  • Business fluency in English and German is essential
  • Willing to travel within your region of responsibility
