Campus Construction Project Manager - BER3 (m/f/d)

As the Campus Construction Project Manager (m/f/d), you will be accountable for the safe delivery of new build and fit out projects on a prescribed Campus of the NTT GDC EMEA Data Center hub.You will be responsible for managing internal and external stakeholders to deliver large Hyperscale Data Center, Retail Data Center, Infrastructure and fit-out projects on site.  

The position requires a self-motivated, construction leader who will manage a dedicated team of internal and external professionals to deliver industry leading Data Center construction, infrastructure and fit out projects on the dedicated campus.

This critical onsite role at our BER3 location.  
 

What you will do

• Be accountable for the planning and execution of NTT Data Center construction, fit out and infrastructure projects on our campus
• Develop and foster a strong sense of ownership within the campus delivery team and NTT GDC peer stakeholders to drive and maintain industry best practice standards across the campus
• Collaborate with peers in the NTT EHS and Security Organization to implement industry best practice Health, Safety and Security standards onsite
• Coach, measure and manage NTTs appointed professional services and General/Sub-Contractor teams to ensure consistency in delivery against these standards 
• Govern, measure and if required correct project performance against key performance indicators and commitments across Safety, Schedule, Quality and Cost targets
• Drive close stakeholder alignment with the Commercial, Operations and Commissioning Teams, creating a positive and transparent working environment 
• Perform general Construction management tasks, including but not limited to Project, Cost and change management meetings, controls and reporting 
• Provide timely and accurate reporting of project status business
• Pro-actively identify, assess, and mitigate risks that arise during the course of the projects
• Collaborate with your peers across EMEA to continually assess, align on and improve our delivery methodology

What we are looking for 

• Experience in a site based management role within the construction industry, overseeing a portfolio of concurrent capex projects
• Extensive experience in the planning and delivery of large capex and client fit-out projects, utilizing varying delivery methods (Management Contracting, Traditional, D&B) and forms of contract (ie. FIDIC, JCT)
• Demonstrate Data Center construction experience
• Possess excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to navigate complex and high-pressure environments
• Have experience in presenting to senior leadership both internally and within our Clients Teams 
• Have experience in managing and developing direct and vendor teams
• Excellent project management experience and skillset, with the ability to operate within a multi-cultural environment
• Proficient in the use of project and commercial management tools and processes
• Good knowledge of HOAI/RIBA/VOB/CAD/BIM
• Excellent communication skills in German and solid business English skills
